On this page, I will keep a running post of any assignments, quizzes or tests that will be coming up. Mr. Yerger also has a webpage that he updates as needed. This will also be the area in which I will post study guides or other materials that I think might be useful for teachers and students. Please check often since I may need to update this daily.

For tis week, we will continue with the Judicial Branch and have a test at the end of the week. Here is the schedule for the rest of the week:
Mon-Quiz on section 1 and 2. I will try to pull the kids for review but it is a busy day for me.
Tues.- computer lab for class. Meet in classroom 1st
Wed.- lessons
Thurs.-Quiz. Supreme Court and Review
Fri.- Test- I will not be able to review 1st period due to a meeting. I should be able to meet with students the rest of the day. 1st period students who have questions should see me at lunch!

There will be a Chapter 7 test on Friday, Oct. 23rd. I plan on taking each period to do a review session with these students. Encourage them to keep studying because out of the 9 kids that we share, 7 of them are now passing!!!
On Thurs. 10/22 we will be in the computer lab doing an activity using the computers on the Cabinet

Chapter 7 was started today. Students will have a quiz in section 1 for FRiday. Section 1 in their guided note packet is due tomorrow.

Test on 10/9. The Book on becoming a bill is due as well as the study guide packet. Current event is also due. Monday and Tuesday next week we will be watching “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”. Chapter 7 will start on Wed.

Students have an assignment that is due on Friday, 10/9. They have to create a children’s book on how a bill becomes a law. They have the assignment sheet along and have been given examples. This is for a test grade!
Possible quiz on section 1 and 2 of Chapter 6 on Friday.

Students need to complete section 1 of chapter 6 on teh study guide packet and Activity 6-1 on the 2 sided sheet. This is due on Wed., 9/30.

Students have their mnemonic amendment assignment due on Tues., 9/29. We will be starting Chapt. 6.

Wed.- Amendments 20-27. Bill of Rights packet due. Work on Study guide for review on Thurs.
Thurs- Amendment Quiz on 1-10, Amendment BINGO, go over study guide. Assignment: Develop your own menmonic devices for Amedments.
Fri.- Chapter 3 and 4 test. Continue to work ondeveloping your own mnemonic strategies.

Homework- Due Wed.- Bill of Right spacket. Do whole packet except for the essay sections.

The week of 9/21 looks like this-
Monday-9/21- Chapter 3, section 4 quiz. Students have these notes
Tuesday- 9/22- Homework on Amendments- students will create their own mnemonic strategies for the 1st 10 amendments. Students should refer to thier sheet on mnemonics for examples as well as their notes for teh meaning of each amendment. This is to be done neatly, as a booklet and using color pencils. Students have been given the assignment in written form.
Wednesday-9/23- Chapter 4 quiz on the amendments. Know all 27! Review for tomorrow’s test on Chapter 3 and 4. Students have a study guide to complete with a list of terms, amendments and questions. Amendment homework due!
Thursday-9/24- Test on Chapters 3 and 4.
